Food news nosh and a pork bun throw down!! Steamed vs. Baked

The idea came to me in a dream, okay, not really. I was actually hanging around Green Apple Books when hunger struck and I couldn't quite decided what I wanted to eat. Kind of wanted a little something but not too much of something. That is when I walked by Good Luck Dim Sum and thought, yes, a pork bun. Which then led to--hmmm, steamed or baked? And then onto why not do a some posts on why each one is good and maybe decide which one is better! Interestingly enough, the line at Good Luck was ridiculous and I ended up skipping on by them for another stop in the Richmond District. I then found myself popping on the 1 California to Chinatown where I went in search of several more baked and steamed pork buns. I found a few and let's just say, I got my fill of bread for at least the next month. But is is rice flower which is better for you, right? Either way, this week will be a baked or steamed pork bun throw down so stayed tuned for all the bun madness you can stand.
